Space

is the room you are sitting in, or a void between objects, or a vast array of stars in the universe. Space is physical, mental and metaphysical. Space is your personal environment.

Space Architecture

is "the theory and practice of designing and building inhabited environments in outer _space_ (the _architectural_ design of living and working environments in _space_ related facilities, habitats, and vehicles)." [SpaceArchitect.org](http://spacearchitect.org/)

This site seeks to illuminate those principals of discovery, innovation and exploration to work for you at home on Planet Earth, to share discoveries that will help all of us here as we reach for the stars.

From GPS and memory foam to astronaut ice cream, we see NASA innovation at work every day. "We see it when we use an ATM or pay for gas at the pump with an immediate electronic response via satellite. Technologies developed for exploring space are being used to increase crop yields and to search for good fishing regions at sea." [NASA.gov](https://www.nasa.gov/50th/50th_magazine/benefits.html)
